Purpose and Scope
Michigan public-record rules can make some arrest and booking material available, but availability does not mean that one source holds every answer. The Ingham County Sheriff operates the current-custody locator and maintains county records. Lansing, East Lansing, and Mason police departments have different publication and request practices. Michigan Department of Corrections records cover state custody, while the courts carry the later case history.
Our role is limited to explaining those official paths in plain terms. We do not store public agency records, decide whether a record must be released, or display a collection of booking images.

This is a privately run reference service. It has no connection to an Ingham County, Michigan, or federal government office, Sheriff, jail, or corrections department.
